Independent and unbiased evaluation is critical to the success of any program.
So we have contracted with The BERC Group, based in Redmond, Washington, to serve as an independent program evaluator for the Microsoft Math Partnership. The following key questions serve as the foundation for the project evaluation:
- To what extent did a partnership exist and what outcomes were impacted?
- To what extent was the program implemented and how did fidelity to that implementation change outcomes?
- To what extent was local, regional and state policy impacted?
- To what extent was their identifiable positive change in math instruction?
- What were the impacts on student outcomes?
- What change within schools and districts will enable positive change over time?
- To what extent did public attitude towards math and science change?
